Take a Tour with BR Along the Chao Phraya River, on the Golden Line Mini Train Ride, on Thonburi Side

Many of you have probably already heard about the opening of the BTS Golden Line, which was previously announced and scheduled to be open for use in October. But due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the delivery of equipment and other goods were delayed, as well as the improvements that were being made to the entrance of the stations, causing it to be postponed to mid-December of 2020. The Golden Line has 4 stations, with a total distance of 2.75 kilometers.  In the first phase, there will be 3 stations: Krung Thon Buri Station (G1), Charoen Nakhon Station (G2), and Khlong San Station (G3). It is currently in the development process, and will connect to the Purple Line in the future. The train model used is the Bombardier Innovia APM 300, with a maximum speed of 80kmph, 3 trains, with 2 connecting cabins each, with the capacity to old 138 passengers per cabin. The service rate is 15 baht throughout the entire line, and has been estimated to be up to 42,000 passengers per day.

When the Golden Line is officially opened for use, this will become another important transportation system for citizens on the Thonburi side, as traveling to other transport systems will be much faster, especially around Khlong San station, which is where many government agencies are located. Moreover, the Golden Line will also support passengers from the Green Line at Krung Thon Buri Station, and connect the Purple Line and Red Line in the future, also going all the way to the Chao Phraya River pier.

As a result of the launch of the BTS Golden Line, the land prices in Chaoren Nakhon district has increase by more than 500,000 baht per square wa. According to the current data, there are 4,488 condominiums in the Charoen Nakhon area, 88% of which have been sold, making it one of the upcoming “hottest” locations among property investors, including those who want to buy for their own residence. It is expected that there will be more condominium projects launched in the next few years. For anyone looking to buy in the Charoen Nakhon area, it is best to hurry, as the prices will keep going up.
